The Disney Dream

On our way to Merritt Island today we saw the Disney Dream cruise ship docked at Port Canaveral. Even though it's huge, it's not even close to the biggest ship in the Disney fleet.

Old neighbours, good friends

The past 2 years we lived on the same street as these people and even though we are no longer neighbours we get together once a week for lunch and we always have a great time.

I am looking forward to next week - it's my turn to pick the restaurant!

An expensive day....

These pictures may look like dots but what they are actually is the view from our front porch this evening. NASA launched a Delta IV rocket at a cost of $400 million. Once it's in

orbit we should all be able to hear each other much better - something to look forward to!

All in all it was an expensive day here in Central Florida. It cost almost as much to bring President Obama down here to Disney for a 10 minute speech on his plan to improve the economy. I'm not sure what his plan is but a lot of people around here had some ideas about how he could have saved $400 million!

Happy Birthday Kathy

The holidays are over, Steve and the clan have gone home and things are blissfully routine these days.

We were happy to host a dinner party to celebrate Kathy's birthday this past weekend. As you can see, we decided against candles though - it's hot enough around here!

Can you hear me now!

Okay, so sometime during the evening Steve thought it would be a good idea to phone Joanne and Guy's dog back home and howl into the answering machine in case the dog was lonely.

For those of you who know Steve, no further explanation is necessary. For those of you who don't know Steve, no explanation is possible!
