Pete and Monique meet Dixie

Pete has been wanting to eat at the Dixie Crossroads for so long and today was the day his wish came true.

It's always great to have friends from home visit us here. The only trouble is that now it feels like Friday, not Monday!!!!

Joel and Michelle

Shopping, Disneyworld, fun at the pool, seeing an Atlas V rocket launch and eating lots of grapefruit would just about sum up Joel and Michelle's week with us.

Loved having you here. Hope you two had fun - have a safe trip home.

Good friends, good times

One of the things we always look forward to is the day we can get together with Lorraine, Barry, Madeleine and Paul. It has become one of our favorite Florida traditions so we were thrilled that they were able to make the trip to the TGO this year.

We ate, we drank, we laughed, we played shuffleboard. What a great day!

Super Sunday

We had a fun Superbowl party at Jan and Nancy's beautiful new home. Olivier won 2nd prize in the pool and I played Scrabble and Word Yahtzee with Nancy and Carole - a great time all around!

Catfish Cabin

It was my turn to choose the resaurant for the gang this week so I picked one of my favorite places for fish - The Catfish Cabin. But don't let the name fool you - not one of us ordered catfish. However, Shirley ordered a gator sandwich. She said it was delicious - I'll take her word for it!

We need rain!

Florida's response to 35 consecutive days of no rain is to burn the underbrush before a wildfile is able to take hold. It's called a 'control burn' . So, for a second night the helicopters and fire trucks will be circling around to ensure the fire remains controlled.

P.S. There is very little chance of rain in the forecast.
