Our last weekend

Our 4 month vacation is rapidly coming to an end but we are still having a good time. Last night Tina treated us and Steve to a wonderful supper at the Blue Heron, the new restaurant here at the TGO, and yes, wine was definitely included!
Thanks Tina!

Well, it's official - we finished in last place! But we sure had a lot of fun and are already looking forward to next year.

For Chantal

Wishing Chantal a full and speedy recovery.
We are coming home soon and will be bringing you your favourite 'medicine'!!

Our 5th Annual Bowling Tournament

Although there was a slight change in the Team USA lineup with the addition of Sally, there were many things in common with the previous tournaments including having lots of fun, a great dinner at La Bambas, and, oh yeah, Team USA took the trophy ( but by a much smaller margin!)

Blue grass beats white snow any time!

We always look forward to Bluegrass Festival every year in the town of Christmas even though it usually means our time down south is coming to an end.
Olivier goes for the music, I go for the crafts and to be honest we both go for the food - pulled pork, fresh kettle corn and of course the home made ice cream!

One of the many bands that played.
Delicious!

Ice cream made the old fashioned way

Lots of vintage farm equipment on display

Daniel enjoyed going around in the golf cart especially when he got to blow the horn. Jonah would have preferred the drivers seat- maybe in a few years!!!!

The Freedom of the Seas

We have never been on a cruise and were never really sure if we ever wanted to go on one but when Barb, the lady who organizes all of the cruises for the TGO, was given an opportunity to take 30 friends for a tour and lunch on the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas we thought it would be fun to at least be on a  cruise ship for a few hours.

So, are we now thinking about taking a cruise? Well, we're talking about it!

Visitors from home

When Barry and Lorraine's tour group brought them down to Port Canaveral we were so pleased that they decided to spend the day with us rather than go on the Victory Casino Cruise. Of course Barry has some bad memories of the last cruise which have nothing to do with gambling!

So we shopped, we ate, we chatted and the day went by all to quickly.

We had them back to Port Canaveral in plenty of time to catch the bus but on the off-chance they missed it we found them this alternate form of transportation!
