Since the end of November we have been hearing about a 3-legged deer running around the golf course and last night we caught a glimpse of him just before we sat down to dinner. No one really knows how he lost his left front leg or if he was in fact born that way. He manages to get around quite well although he seems to tire easily and has difficulty keep up with the other deer.

A 'Relax'ing evening
As we have heard from so many people up North this was a particularly cold weekend at home so who could blame Tina and Richard for hopping on a plane and enjoying some warmth and sunshine even if it's just for the weekend.
We were already invited over to Chris and K's for dinner last night with Joanne and Guy but they were happy to include Tina and Richard in the last minute and it was a very enjoyable evening.

I fell for it!
I wasn't quite sure why Olivier was so keen on leaving me at this place since he wasn't going boating, golfing or trying to relax but it sounded like a great place so I went along with it.
Then he picked me up sporting his new Apple watch!
A taste of home
For the first time in 10 years we actually saw cheese curds on sale at the grocery store. Very unusual since most people here have never heard of curds. Snce I had brought some St. Hubert poutine sauce from home (don't ask me why!) guess what we had for supper last night!

A snalligator?
A recent news article was about a guy who claims to have cross-bred a racoon and a dog. Not sure if that's true but when we saw this creature in the water it seems someone might have had some success between a snake and a gator! It was bound to happen - we have plenty of both around here.
Rise and shine
We woke up very early on Sunday and went to IHOP for pancakes. But the real treat was the beautiful morning sky that greeted us.
