Meals on Wheels

At home we are used to eating at chip wagons or food trucks but down here it is a fairly new concept and still operating on a trial basis.
A convoy of food trucks has been going around Central Florida on a fixed schedule and last night they came to Titusville. People were lined up by the dozens at every truck and brought lawn chairs and tables to eat right on the spot. It felt like one big tailgate party.
We weren't quite brave enough to try lobster from a truck called Monsta Lobsta - we thought we would go in for something a bit more conservative at the Fork in the Road truck. We ordered something called 50/50 burgers - WOW were they great. We were told the secret was to use only top sirloin with real bacon ground up right into the meat before cooking. Lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo topped of one of the best burgers we have ever had.
The next trip to Titusville will be Feb 24 and you can be sure we will be back.
Judging by the positive response and good press I'm sure the Food Truck Bazaar (this is a link to the first Titusville stop) is considered a huge success.
By the way, speaking of press, you may have been reading in the news about snow in Florida today but don't worry about us. It's 81 F here. The snow is just in the panhandle in the North.

This is where we got our food

Maybe next time!

This looked good but we were just to full to try it . Next time we'll start with dessert!
